If you want to use documents in other programs, you can export documents to a different format.

Export to PDF

By exporting documents to PDF, other users, who don't have CMR-JET installed, can view and print your files.
If you want to show the document background in the PDF, but don't print it, use the options in the documenttype editor.

Follow these steps to export a document to PDF:

1. Open or create a file CMR-JET
2. Click Export -> Currently opened document -> to PDF

Export to XML

Export documents to XML if you want to use the docment data other programs. You can obtain an XML scheme of the document by exporting a blank document.

Follow these steps to export a document to XML:

1. Open or create document in CMR-JET
2. Click Export -> Currently opened document -> to XML

Importing XML files

You can export data out of your own software package to a formatted XML file, and import them in CMR-JET. A single xml file may contain multiple documents. You can obtain an xml scheme by exporting one or more empty documents to a single xml file.

Follow these steps to import a XML file in CMR-JET:

1. Click Import -> XML as document
2. Choose the xml file you want to import and click 'OK'
