When to use orders

 

Orders are usually only used when automatically generating documents. (also see: Automatically generating documents).
The advantage here, is that you only have to fill in or import one order, and automatically can generate all the necessary documents for that order (CMR, DGD, ADR, ...).

 

 

Variable fields

 

You can edit the CMR-JET order structure by adding or removing order fields. This way, you can synchronize the CMR-JET order structure with the order structure of your own application.

Adding a new variable order field

  1. Click Windows -> Orders
  2. Click "New"
  3. Click "Edit variable fields"
  4. Click "New"
  5. Supply a name for the new field, and choose the appropriate data type.
  6. Click "Save"

The new fields will be visible when you close and re-open the product editor.

 


The different order field types

 

  • Textfield (max 255 characters) : a text-input field, with a limit of maximum 255 characters that can be inputted.

  • Textfield (unlimited number of characters) : a text-input field, with an unlimited number of characters that can be inputted. Use this datatype for large pieces of text.

  • Date : A date selection field.

  • Yes/no : a yes/no field
  • Contact : een contact selection field.
