| Chapter: Designing new documenttypes |
In this tabpage you can edit the general data of the documenttype
- Name documenttype : The name of the documenttype. This name will be shown in the list with documenttypes.
- Size: The width and height of the paper form you are printing on. For example, a standard A4 page has a width of 210 mm, and a height of 297 mm.
- Autonumber : also see: Fields of a documenttype If the documenttype contains an autonumber field, you can specify the starting value of that autonumber here. Each time a new document of this documenttype is created, the autonumber will be increased by 1. This way, you can suppy all your documents with a unique number.
- Default font: The default font for all fields of this documenttype. You can also specify a default font per documenttype, which will override the default font of the documenttype.
also see: default fonts
- Background : The background image that will be shown and or printed. The image will be stretched to fit the document size. Images require either the .jpg, .gif or .bmp format. We recommend the .jpg format.
- Default folder for saving documents : Here you can specify a folder which will be used as the default proposed location when you save documents of this type. Per documenttype you can specify a default folder for saving files.
